Discount prices

Oceanside mobile notary provides a 10% discount for seniors and both active and retired military personnel. We also know that notary services can get expensive for people who are buying a home or planning an estate, which often require 15 to 20 notarizations. So to keep prices low, we stop charging after 10 notarizations, which means you will never pay more than $100 in notary charges. Oceanside mobile notary is also fast and efficient and can handle even the biggest jobs in about 45 minutes.

Wide range of services

Oceanside Mobile Notary can handle any type of notary service, including notarizing travel documents for minors traveling abroad and forms for car owners looking to get their vehicles out of impound. And for out-of-state clients, we can process and ship notarized documents the same day they are signed.

What is a notary public allowed to do?
By law, a notary is allowed to take acknowledgements, administer oaths and affirmations, perform jurats, take depositions, and certify copies of power of attorney.

Why do documents need to be notarized?
The primary reason is to prevent fraud. A notary serves as an impartial witness to ensure the identify of a person who is required to sign a document.

Can a notary help to prepare documents?
No. A notary is not allowed to assist in drafting documents aside from making sure the documents are signed and dated in the proper place and by the right person.

How long does it take to have a document notarized?
The process usually takes about five minutes for a single document. In addition to providing a proper ID, customers need to sign the notary’s public record book and provide a thumbprint.

Can a notary refuse to notarize a document?
Yes. If a notary can’t properly identify a client or be certain the client knows what they are signing, they can refuse to notarize a document. A notary can be held legally responsible if a document they notarize turns out to be fraudulent.
